POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Director will plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the Operations Departments to support the ministry of GraceWorks in its effort to provide excellent Neighbor Services. The Operations Director is also responsible for the performance of the retail, food pantry, in-kind gift processing, transportation and facility management of all GraceWorks locations. The position develops and deploys effective policies, processes and procedures across each operational area of responsibility to ensure high quality delivery of services. The position engages in strategic evaluation of systems, facilities and equipment utilized by operations to support effective capital planning.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide a strong leadership and advocacy model of ministry mission, programs and events to staff, volunteers, donors, community partners and neighbors.
• Work closely with CEO to execute and enhance the strategy, mission, and budget of GraceWorks
• Ensure a high level of customer and donor care to in-kind donors, volunteers, retail shoppers, community partners and neighbors using our services.
• Responsible for directing, supervising and managing all aspects of operations including, in-kind donation receiving and distribution activities, inventory management and control, transportation, food pantry, retail and facilities management.
• Responsible for the development, review, and modification of existing procedures, policies and activities to support an effective and efficient operating environment for receipt, storage and logistical movement of goods and donations.
• Reviews and approves effective plans for receipt and distribution of in-kind gifts such as food, clothing furniture and seasonal gifts.
• Direct Facilities Manager in proactive maintenance and care of all GraceWorks facilities.
• Manage truck driver recruitment, training, and scheduling to address the transportation needs of all departments and sites of GraceWorks.
• Maintain the good working order all GraceWorks machinery, including trucks and warehouse equipment.
• Ensures all operational activities are carried out in compliance with applicable regulations (i.e., OSHA, FDA, USDA, etc.).
• Participates in strategic and budget planning. • Provides strong adherence to all plans once solidified.
• Responsible for the development, management and oversight of the Operations annual budget including income generated from retail sales. Regularly reviews operations budget in preparation for monthly board report which entails budget and activity summary and analysis.
• Direct and/or monitor the activities, schedules and evaluations of all departmental staff.
• Identifies training needs, initiates development of direct reports, and executes personnel action to facilitate growth and positive morale of staff.
• Ensures that duties, responsibilities, authority and accountability of all direct and indirect reports and regular volunteers are defined and understood. Identify and provide training to staff and/or volunteers on a consistent basis.
• Coordinate and plan volunteer activities as it relates to the operations department. Respond to group volunteer requests and proactively anticipate department volunteer needs.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure overall ministry goals and strategies are met. Coordinates activities of assigned departments with other ministry departments.
• All other duties/essential tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Five years of related operations management experience required.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Communications Manager will engage our community via our website and across a variety of social media platforms as well through print media and mailings. This position will create and distribute external communications.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain GraceWorks website content: creating and adding video, creating and adding graphics/images, online calendar, etc.
• Coordinate creation of content with the Development team, Retail and Operations Director, including graphics and images to promote GraceWorks events and initiatives
• Create, own and proactively manage content calendar that includes all communication efforts such as social media, print, email, events, etc.
• Manage email marketing campaigns to donors, volunteers, staff, board and other groups
• Post original and curated content to social channels: maintain a consistent voice across channels aligned with branding and target audience
• Monitor conversations across social media and address important mentions in real-time
• Maintain all online donation campaigns
• Assist Director of Development with other tasks as requested
• Create and distribute external communication pieces
• Assist development team in creating custom pieces for donor solicitations
• Monitor communication plan success from year-to-year and offer changes to increase exposure and engagement.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Food Distribution Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of volunteers assigned to the food pantry, the shopping experience providing groceries to our neighbors, and providing fuel bags to schools.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee pleasant shopping experiences for our neighbors, including showing the neighbors what they may have and bagging the groceries
• Greets and coordinates tasking of volunteers; greets and serves neighbors in the food pantry
• Coordination of traffic flow for Neighbors receiving food
• Assist with coordination of purging of partner-agency distribution of overstock or out-of-date inventory
• Monitor food on the shelves and coordinate with the Food Acquisition Manager inventory needs
• Tracks and reports all outbound food items
• Track request for fuel bags and coordinate volunteers to assemble and package them by school
• Prepares weekly, monthly and annual reports for internal and external entities
• Coordinates Saturday coverage for food distribution and volunteer engagement
• Maintains cleanliness of food pantry and adherence to Second Harvest Guidelines
• In collaboration with the Food Acquisition Manager, suggest long-term inventory changes, storage, etc.
• Assist with Mobile Food Pantry events as needed
• Determine when and if food should be discarded from the pantry shelves
• Train and encourage volunteers through written communication and regular meetings.
• Written communication with volunteers on a regular basis to show appreciation and to alert them to new information and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinates schedule with Food Pantry volunteers and team leads as needed
• Coordinates both long-term and one-time group volunteers associated with food pantry

POSITION SUMMARY
The Processing Manager is responsible for the coordination and oversight of GraceWorks donation processing system. This includes organizing and coordinating the processing of sales inventory from the time it is donated to the time it hits the retail sales floor. The Processing Manager will manage staff and volunteers responsible for various aspects of the processing operation. They will also work directly with the retail manager to ensure pertinent merchandise is consistently available for the retail floor.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Train and assign staff and regular volunteers for specific duties.
• Work with Volunteer Relations Manager to assign job responsibilities for periodic volunteers.
• Collaborate with Retail and Boutique managers to determine needed merchandise and or quick selling items.
• Help set the quality of merchandise standards and support the encouragement of follow-through of staff and volunteers tasked with placing of merchandise on retail floor.
• Engage outside businesses and organizations to arrange for pass-through of unusable donations.
• Oversee seasonal and departmental inventory for integration into the ongoing processing chain.
• Coordinate inventory flow from back door to warehouse, and from warehouse to tagging area.
• Work with Facilities Manager to determine adequate warehouse space for inventory as needed.
• Lift, sort and price inventory when necessary.
• Manage staff and volunteers working in the processing chain.
• Be able to tell the GraceWorks story to anyone who asks.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Associate will be responsible to fulfill any of the tasks to complete a sale of our donated goods from operating the cash register, organizing and replenishing merchandise on the sales floor, assisting customers, and cleaning common areas.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cashier Duties:
• Count money and place in cash register.
• Open store and operate cash register during store hours.
• Assist customers in their purchases. If they have a voucher, help them select the items that are applicable to their voucher.
• Balance cash register and perform closing duties, including reports, at end of day.
• Able to react to change productively and handle all other duties/essential tasks as assigned.

Secondary Responsibilities:
• Dust, straighten and stock merchandise as needed
• Change prices with permission of supervisor

• Accompanying the driver in the truck to pick up furniture, food and other donations in homes, businesses, churches or schools
• Loading and transporting equipment and materials to and from GraceWorks sponsored events
• Working with a partner and using appropriate moving equipment to lift heavy furniture
• Communicating with individual store donors to coordinate their pickup time on the scheduled day
• Interacting in a professional and pleasant manner with all donors, community partners, customers, and volunteers
• Assisting with loading and unloading of sold merchandise or donations at GraceWorks
• Cleaning, including bathrooms, lobby, store and any other areas of GraceWorks
• Assisting as needed in all areas of GraceWorks
• Being able to tell the GraceWorks story to anyone who asks
