Help Stamp Out Hunger by leaving a food donation at your mailbox this Saturday.
Approximately 9.4% of our Williamson County neighbors are food-insecure. This means they do not know where their next meal is coming from. The GraceWorks Food Pantry served 8,665 of our hungry neighbors last year with the support of food drives like the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive this Saturday.
The best part of this drive – you can donate from home! Mail carriers will pick up your donations this Saturday. All served by either the Franklin or Fairview Post Office will have their donations given to the GraceWorks Food Pantry.
Here’s how it works: If your mail carrier leaves you a bag in the mail this week, you are welcome to fill that bag and leave it out for pick up on May 11th. If they do not leave you a bag, you can use your own. Leave your bags beside your mailbox or you can hang it somewhere on your mailbox.
While GraceWorks is in need of most non-perishable items you may find in your own pantry, these are the items we currently need the most:
Boxed Mashed Potatoes
Boxed Meals (Ex. Hamburger Helper)
Canned Meat (Ham, Chicken)
Canned Hearty Meals (Chili, Ravioli, etc.)
Canned Vegetables (except green beans)
Toiletries – toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, soap, etc. Travel size is helpful too!
