Who
do you help?
Residents of Williamson County that have an emergency need.
Why
do you only help people in Williamson County?
Graceworks feels it is important to take care of our own home before
we can take care of others. As long as there are people with needs in
Williamson County we will continue to limit the scope of our help to
our own back yard.
How do you get to Graceworks?
How
is the Ministry financed?
Details coming soon.
What
help do you give?
We help with emergency needs: rent or utility assistance, purchase medicines,
provide nonperishable food, provide clothing or household goods. If
your need for help is outside the listed needs, please contact us, we
may be able to provide assistance, at least we can refer you to someone
that can help.
How
can I volunteer?
See our section on Volunteer Opportunities and then contact us.
Do I have to come in to get help?
I can't come in (homebound)?
Yes, everyone must come into the office and apply for help. If you are
in the hospital or homebound, your health care worker or social worker
can apply for help on your behalf.
Do
I make an appointment?
No appointment is necessary; however, you must come in between 9 a.m.
and 4 p.m. If you are working and cannot come during regular hours,
please call (615) 794-9055, and we will try to make arrangements to
meet with you at a different time.
How
is Graceworks different from other organizations?
Graceworks is committed to helping individuals in a holistic way. Efforts
are made to help identify the underlying issues that contribute to the
problem(s) and then solutions are proposed to address those issues.
It may mean helping someone learn how to get a job, how to read, how
to handle personal finances, or simply how to function as an individual.
This approach is far more demanding, but the results are far greater.
Do
I have to be a Christian to receive help?
NO! We will do our best to help any resident of Williamson County regardless
of their personal faith. Help will not be denied on the basis of faith.
How
do I donate a car?
The car must be working - - we do not have the capability to repair
cars, not even minor repairs. A current emission test, the title and
the title holder(s) have to accompany the car to our office at 104 Southeast
Parkway. There we will have you fill out a gift form. We will provide
a tax donation letter based on the value of the car as provided by the
Kelley Blue Book value.
What
is Graceworks?
Graceworks is an ecumenical, nonprofit ministry funded by Williamson
County churches and individuals to help our neighbors in our county.
Our primary focus is to provide physical, emotional, spiritual, material,
and referral services to those in need while helping them break the
cycle of dependency on government assistance. Not everyone that needs
our assistance is receiving governmental help.

We receive merchandise each day we are open as all of the merchandise
in the store is donated. We do not purchase anything for sale in the
store. Therefore, we never know when or if certain items will be donated.
